Leases will always be for residential use only and thus if you wish to run a business from the property you should contact us first and we can let you know if it is prohibited or if it is allowed if you first obtain a Licence from your Freeholder or Management Company to do so.
Whether a Licence is granted will depend on many things, including the potential impact it will have on the building and other residents.
If you run a business from your property when prohibited under your Lease or without first obtaining a Licence legal action may be taken to prevent you from doing so.
Please note, business use in this context does not include someone working remotely from home when their usual place of work is an office or other location, providing no clients or other visitors are met at the building or noise or other disturbance to other residents is created.
